Pokémon Tower Defense (often called PTD) is a classic fan-made tower defense game created by Sam & Dan Games. It mixes traditional TD placement strategy with Pokémon-style progression—catching Pokémon, leveling them up, and evolving them into stronger defenders. PTD was first publicly released in March 2011, with early releases appearing on Android and browser platforms.

Unlike many modern tower defense games that focus on constant micro-management, PTD rewards planning: choosing the right Pokémon for each stage, placing units at optimal choke points, and building a team that can handle different wave patterns.
